I need to know the best method for using a landscape rake to prep ground for a lawn. When we try to use it, we get a big pile of dirt that the rake pulls up and it tends to leave the rocks and sticks behind. Any advice would be welcome. I also plan to use it to prepare five acres for pasture. It is currently brusch and woods.

Brad: It sounds like the rake is merely digging in too deep, it is filling with dirt instead of debris. Try adjusting the length of the upper link till the vertical portion of the rake's 3pth is absolutely plumb. If you still have problems (they can be tricky things to master) try building a set of gauge wheels like the ones on "Mike's Tractor Page" (http://www.his.com/~msimpson/tractor/default.htm). Have patience and good luck. ....
